Why Is ENHYPEN Popular? Here are 5 reasons (in no particular order) why you will love ENHYPEN:  ALBUM REVIEW: ENHYPEN Marks A Grand Comeback Exploring Themes Of Illusion, Fame And Temptation In Their Best Work Yet REVIEWS|Apr 27, 2021

1. The meaning of their group name

You’ll notice that ENHYPEN has hyphenated both of their title tracks so far. Both ‘Given-Taken’ from their first album “BORDER: DAY ONE” and ‘Drunk-Dazed’ from their second EP “BORDER: CARNIVAL” contain hyphens. This is not a coincidence. Just like the hyphen, ENHYPEN wants to connect words to create whole new meanings. They aim to connect, discover and grow to create a new act.‘Given-Taken’ reflects the doubts that the boys had behind whether their debut was given to them or if it was an opportunity taken by them, considering that the group was formed through global fan votes on survival show “I-LAND."‘Drunk-Dazed’ is a transition from their first title track. It talks about how drastically their life has changed since entering the spotlight and competitive K-Pop world. You could assume that it’s a metaphor for being drunk on life but dazed by how fast-paced and dazzling the attention they’re getting is.The deeper meaning behind their song titles, makes us love this group even more!  Find Out What Is The MBTI Personality Types Of Each ENHYPEN Member KPOP STORIES|Oct 22, 2020

2. Their live vocals are amazing no matter the language

Their killer vocals are already stable when performing live, but surprisingly this is true regardless of what language they are singing in. The group is multi-national meaning that they are comprised of Korean, English, and Japanese speakers. Their fans (ENGENE) are also from more than 180 countries according to the global fan vote in “I-LAND.” So, what happens when they are challenged to sing in languages that none of them know? The ENHYPEN members split into three teams to complete the challenge. Members SungHoon and Sunoo formed the Thai team, Jake and HeeSeung were the Spanish team, and Jay, JungWon, and Ni-Ki were the Indonesian team. The warm-up was a hilarious mess but the members managed to pull it together after they got used to the respective languages. Watch the video below to see for yourself.

3. Their unique supernatural concepts

One of the special traits of ENHYPEN is that they are not afraid to try unique concepts, including the supernatural. They play with supernatural motifs to tell their stories and these often have some kind of dark undertone. In several instances in the ‘Drunk-Dazed’ video, they use supernatural powers such as telepathy, pyrokinesis (the ability to control fire), teleportation, and even super speed. Added to their vampire and werewolf concepts, and made apparent through symbols and costume design in their music videos, it is clear that they want their music to make fans transcend to whole new worlds; even those that are unimaginable.  ENHYPEN Releases Beautiful Official Lightstick KPOP STORIES|Nov 18, 2020 Here is an introduction to their album “BORDER: CARNIVAL” which features a dark fairytale with elements such as bats, full moons, and castles, and add to their supernatural narrative.
