While some idols have spent years and years in training before they could debut, others had a comparatively shorter training period. Here are 6 idols who debuted after a very short training period.
1. VIXX’s Hyuk - 3 months
VIXX’s Hyuk only spent 3 months in training before participating in the survival reality show “MyDol” where he won and became a member of VIXX. The other members of VIXX spent a relatively longer time in training before joining the show, after which they debuted.
2. Super Junior’s RyeoWook - 2 months
SUPER JUNIOR’s RyeoWook had a 2 month training period before debuting in the group. However, right after his debut, he garnered love and attention from fans for his talent.
3. Apink’s EunJi - 2 months
Apink’s EunJi is one of the best vocalists in the industry and her skill in dancing is just as incredible. However, she only trained for 2 months before debuting in Apink. As a matter of fact, she filled in the position of the main vocalist of the group as soon as she joined. It is obvious therefore that she was all ready to be a star from the get-go.
4. Girl’s Day’s YuRa - 1 month
YuRa probably holds the record for being approached by the most number of agencies. When she was only in high school, around 60 K-Pop companies tried to scout her. However, she decided to join Dream T Entertainment and eventually Girl’s Day after training for just a month.
5. LOONA’s Yves - 3 weeks
LOONA’s Yves had an incredibly short training period, only 3 weeks! Her company believed that she was ready to debut and indeed, they were right because fans were very impressed with her talent right from LOONA’s debut.
6. LOONA’s Olivia Hye - 1 day
Finally, the most shocking training period out of all the ones on this list has to be LOONA’s Olivia Hye’s. She trained for quite literally a day before she joined the group and started promotional activities. She spilled the beans on her training herself when she confessed in an interview with MBC FM4U that she trained for exactly one single day before joining LOONA. Her stage presence and skill, however, are testament to the fact that she probably didn’t need more training anyway. 5 Female K-Pop Idols Who Spent More Than 8 Years As A Trainee KPOP STORIES|Aug 12, 2020
