We knew there would be a wow moment from the series but like many, we didn’t expect it to be this early. How does “To My Star 2: Our Untold Stories” top having the best kiss scenes in a BL drama in 2021? By having another in 2022 that sends viewers squealing in excitement and half covering their eyes in shyness. It wasn’t explicit, it was passionate, it was fiery, it was love. This season of the BL drama as had viewers glued to their seats as we were all taken aback by the shocking new reality of our star-crossed lovers. They had broken up.After giving one of the best endings in season 1, as much as many were excited about the new season, others pondered what new storyline they were going to share as the final episode of the first season was the perfect end of their story, they lived happily ever after. Well, not for long as with the first episode of the new season, we see our favorite couple has broken up for reasons that are not clear to us, as well as Kang SeoJoon (played by Son WooHyeon) who in this current timeline, is desperately searching for Han JiWon (play by Kim KangMin), He eventually finds him and demands answers for their breakup but doesn’t believe a word Han JiWon says. As he believes he still has feelings for him. With flashback moments, we see their loving relationship blossom even more and makes us beg the question “Why exactly did they break up?“Well, episode 4 would have us putting that question on the back burner as it gave us one of the best moments we have seen this year in any K-Drama. A kiss scene that sent flutters through our hearts. It wasn’t a moment we expected and the fact that it was initiated by Han JiWon, the less spontaneous one in the relationship shows that he just might really still be in love with Kang SeoJoon.The build-up to the moment was filled with so much sincerity, the soft tone in his voice held a powerful conviction that made you realize he still cared deeply for Kang SeoJoon and was probably still in love with him.Leaning in slowly, just like Kang SeoJoon, we were shocked by that moment but he left us in our dismay as he quickly gave in and proceeded to return the kiss. A strong display of affection it felt like they had been both starved from the presence of each other and this was a year’s worth of kisses. After watching it for the millionth time, we continue to ponder the question “why did they really break up” and we might have gotten a clue at the ending when Han JiWon was searching for news on Kang SeoJoon with the keyword “scandal”.Are you watching this series?
