Helmed by Netflix, the Korean adaptation, titled “A Time Called You” is set to star Jeon YeoBeen, Ahn HyoSeop and Kang Hoon in the leading roles. Here’s everything we know so far about the characters of the Korean remake and their Taiwanese counterparts!
1. Jeon YeoBeen - Han JoonHee/Kwon MinJoo
Jeon YeoBeen, who stole the hearts of millions all over the world with her performance in “Vincenzo”, will be playing the dual role of Han JoonHee/Kwon MinJoo in the K-Drama adaptation of “Someday Or One Day”. Her character corresponds to Huang Yu-Hsuan/Chen Yun-Ru in the original Taiwanese drama, played by Alice Ko. Han JoonHee is a young woman who is engulfed with grief after losing her boyfriend in an accident but suddenly ends up getting transported to the past. She wakes up in the body of a high school student named Kwon MinJoo in 1998 and soon meets Nam SiHeon, a boy who looks exactly like her late boyfriend.
2. Ahn HyoSeop - Goo YeonJoon/Nam SiHeon
Ahn HyoSeop, who continues to bask in the glory and success of “Business Proposal”, will also be fulfilling a dual role in “A Time Called You”. He is set to play Goo YeonJoon/Nam SiHeon, which corresponds to Wang Quan-Sheng/Li Zi-Wei in “Someday Or One Day”, played by Greg Hsu. Goo YeonJoon is Han JoonHee’s boyfriend in the present, whereas Nam SiHeon is Kwon MinJoo’s classmate in the past. Nam SiHeon is inexplicably drawn to Kwon MinJoo but holds his feelings back in light of his dear friend Jung InGyu, who has liked MinJoo for the longest time.
3. Kang Hoon - Jung InGyu
Rising star Kang Hoon who recently received high praise and accolades for his role as Hong DeokRo in “The Red Sleeve”, will play Jung InGyu in “A Time Called You”. The original Taiwanese character corresponding to Jung InGyu - Mo Jun-Jie, played by Patrick Shih, is a fan favourite, especially because of his warm and affectionate nature. Jung InGyu is best friends with SiHeon and secretly in love with MinJoo. Kang Hoon is definitely going to give us a serious case of second lead syndrome! Are you excited for “A Time Called You”?
