The veteran singer, Sung SiKyung, had brought a romantic spring night to Seoul with his solo concert titled “Congratulatory Song”. This past weekend, Yonsei University was full of heart felt impressions and a night to remember thanks to Sung SiKyoung’s velvety smooth voice. To start off the concert, Sung SiKyung came out on stage singing a cover of Ed Sheeran’s “Thinking Out Loud”. The singer walked through a stage full of flowers, never breaking eye contact, as if he was proposing to his fans. To continue on the spring theme, the intro followed through with songs such as “Popcorn”, “Do You Like Spring”, “It Would Be Good” and “You Are My Spring”. The fans got a great laugh through various spoofs and videos featuring famous female comedians, such as Lee GukJu, Song EunYi, and Kim Sook. Sung SiKyung and Lee GukJu took on a parody of the hit drama “Descendants of the Sun” with their own “Regrets of the Sun”. Famous artists, Park JungHyun and Yang HeeEun guest starred on Saturday, while Gummy and Yoon JongShin made their visits on Sunday to show their support. The latest K-Pop sensation, IOI had also visited on both days to perform their hit track, “Pick Me”..Although Saturday’s weather had been sunny with warm breeze, Sunday had brought unfortunate rain. Even so, Sung SiKyung refused to cancel and did the best that he could do with the situation. All throughout the 4 hour concert, both the artist and the audience never once let the rain effect their cheerful mood. Instead, Sung SiKyung was actually stunned with much gratitude for the fans who sat in the rain and continued to cheer him on.Overall, Sung SiKyung’s romantic spring nights of “Congratulatory Song” was a huge success as the audience left positive reviews of the night.
