Come and discover this little place cut off from the world, which will allow you to stroll surrounded by animals or roller coasters!The park is located at the eponymous station, Seoul Grand Park, on Line 4 of the Seoul Metro. Open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., it is perfect to spend the day there as the activities are numerous, and above all, varied. First of all, at the entrance to the park, there are a few cafes to fill up on energy before the day ahead and a large building with drawings of animals that allows visitors to know immediately where they are. In addition, in this building, it is possible to take a cable car to fly over the lake and arrive directly at the heights of the park.The park is divided into different areas, as follows: a zoo, a rose garden, a botanical garden, a forest with hiking trails, and a baseball stadium. On the official website of the park, five courses are recommended, to enjoy the pleasures of the park according to what you like to do. If the cable car is not something that attracts you or scares you because of its height, you can always opt for a small train in the shape of an elephant which will take you to the entrances of the main places to visit: the zoo, the rose garden, and amusement park.The five sources are named: 1) An elegant and emotional course selected by Seoul Grand Park Emotional course on a rainy day 2) One cut while keeping memories in the photo zone 3) Feeling healthy on a forest path covered by dense trees 4) Beautiful maple path course selected by Seoul City 5) Seoul Grand Park essential course consists of an animal history course that is loved the most by visitors. Regarding course 4, it is particularly recommended in autumn because this season is considered to be the most beautiful of the whole year in Korea. The leaves of the trees are adorned with superb colors similar to a sunset, which is worth the trip!Regarding the zoo, it is actually the largest in Korea and is divided into various sectors by theme. Costing only 5,000₩ (about $3.50), you can discover animals from Africa and South America, as well as pavilions dedicated to birds, nocturnal animals, reptiles, insects, marine mammals, and monkeys. Opened in 1909 and recently renovated, you can observe 360 animal species! In the zoo, there is also the botanical garden, on the highest point of the park. Regarding the little elephant train, it costs 1,500₩ (about $1), and the cable car 6,000₩ (about $4.20). The amusement park has very varied prices, and regularly offers promotions, especially for students and foreigners. However, prices vary between 18,000₩ (about $12.60) and 36,000₩ (about $25.30).In terms of the park’s popularity with Koreans, the park appears from time to time in K-Dramas, notably in “Hotel Del Luna” filmed in 2019, “Boys Over Flowers” filmed in 2009, and “Romance”, filmed in 2002. Through the ages, it was therefore possible to discover and rediscover this large park, and the infrastructures it offers. Finally, although the zoo was opened in 1909, the amusement park, named Seoul Land, did not open until 1987 and has around 40 rides. It is also divided into five themes: 1) World Plaza 2) Adventure Land 3) Fantasy Land 4) Tomorrow Land 5) Samchulli Hill.However, the amusement park suffers from the popularity of other much better known and larger parks: Lotte World and Everland.
