GOT7-member Mark Tuan has teamed up with Sanjoy for their first release of the year with One In A Million. Recorded over multiple sessions in Sanjoy’s studio at West Coast Customs in Los Angeles, the two ended up with a powerful and emotional song, perfectly fitting for a Valentine’s weekend release. One In A Million’s combination of smooth production, an emotive chorus and a rap counterpart exhibits both Mark and Sanjoy’s strengths as artists.With a long history of providing a platform for Asian sounds and artists alike, Sanjoy’s latest endeavour plays into his existing relationship with GOT7 and the K-Pop scene. After initially being introduced through family members in California, Sanjoy and Mark had been planning a collaborative release ever since they met. While the world was in a standstill, they took advantage of time spent in LA to finally get together and get creative.In a time where different cultural identities in the United States are taking a more and more of a prevalent role in society again, it’s incredibly interesting to see two artists with such diverse backgrounds collaborate and release music together.
