For more about the drama and its’ characters, you can check our cast and summary here. The drama has now aired four episodes (as of May 21) and we can say that the drama is on a good start for these 8 reasons. This article contains light spoilers about the first four episodes.

1. Amazing chemistry

For a romance drama, the chemistry between the lead is a must. From the start Seo InGuk and Park BoYoung’s chemistry is amazing and we can’t wait to see more of it. The way they look at each other is saying it all.Your browser does not support the video tag.Your browser does not support the video tag.The character of Myul Mang (Seo InGuk) is quite complicated. He has no intention of loving anyone and thinks he can’t love. However, he is already falling for DongKyung (Park BoYoung). Myul Mang is not a toxic lead but he is not the lovable type neither, he keeps on remembering her that he “is evil”.This in-between human and God has power over her because of their contract, without him she would be in great pain. In some way, it seems like he is in denial of his attraction for her by cosplaying into a devil non-human.On the other side, DongKyung is “forcing” herself to love him but she is already charmed by Myul Mang. The fact they hold hands is also adorable. It is to “recharge” her or to give her the ability to spend a painful day.Your browser does not support the video tag.Your browser does not support the video tag.

2. Beautiful cinematography and sets

The set of the house of Myul Mang is intriguing. It looks as if it was carved inside of a rock.Your browser does not support the video tag.The drama is a fantasy and the production team is using a lot of CGIs of quality. The drama’s cinematography is also beautiful and especially in this scene where Myul Mang (destruction) walked and destroyed flowers but DongKyung put his world back to colors and life.Your browser does not support the video tag.Your browser does not support the video tag.Your browser does not support the video tag.

3. Fantasy and complex story

The fantasy in this drama is omnipresent with Myul Mang’s reading people’s thoughts, breaking things, stopping time, erasing memories, entering dreams, healing, etc. The universe of “Doom At Your Service” is magical.Your browser does not support the video tag.Your browser does not support the video tag.The drama centers around the contract DongKyung made with Myul Mang and it is no a simple contract.Terminally ill, she will live her final three months without pain and will be granted one extra wish. In exchange, she must wish for the destruction of the world as she first wished for. In the case where she breaks the contract the person, she loves the most will die in her place (currently her brother). She is not intending in dying neither letting her brother die for her. DongKyung thought about a plan: loving Myul Mang and break the contract. He will be the one dying and she will be living. This is just the start of the drama and we are already holding on to our breath on how they will deal with the contract!

4. Intriguing love triangle of the second leads & bromance

The main couple (Park BoYoung & Seo InGuk) is at the center but the second lead characters are also worth the attention with their intriguing love triangle.Shin DoHyun acting as Na JiNa is linked to two men: her first love Kang TaeOh acting as Lee HyunKyu and the man with who she had her first kiss Lee SooHyuk acting as Cha JooIk.Viewers also got to know that Lee HyunKyu and Cha JooIk are roommates. They promise to have fun bromance scenes but they will probably have to choose between love and friendship. We can only look forward to more of these three characters.

5. Cute Noona-brother relationship

The younger brother of DongKyung named SunKyung is acted by SF9’s DaWon. His character is lighting the mood of the drama with his lack of maturity and funny interactions with his “brother-in-law”.Your browser does not support the video tag.In the first episodes, he mostly appeared as a cute and childish brother but things might change as he learned that his sister has only a few months left.Your browser does not support the video tag.

7. Good OST

8. Seo InGuk looking even more handsome with this fashion

Seo InGuk’s fashion in this drama suits him particularly well. The all-black fashion, long coats (and trench coats), and turtle necks give him a mysterious and dark vibe. He looks dangerous … handsomely dangerous.  Weekly Romance Pick: Seo InGuk & Park BoYoung’s Intense Romance Lines In “Doom At Your Service” KDRAMA STORIES|May 20, 2021 Here’s Why You Should Be Watching Park BoYoung and Seo InGuk’s Otherworldly Romance Drama “Doom At Your Service” KDRAMA STORIES|May 14, 2021 “Doom At Your Service” (2021 Drama): Cast & Summary KDRAMA STORIES|Apr 19, 2021 8 Reasons Why We Got Hooked On K Drama Doom At Your Service - 788 Reasons Why We Got Hooked On K Drama Doom At Your Service - 558 Reasons Why We Got Hooked On K Drama Doom At Your Service - 348 Reasons Why We Got Hooked On K Drama Doom At Your Service - 438 Reasons Why We Got Hooked On K Drama Doom At Your Service - 378 Reasons Why We Got Hooked On K Drama Doom At Your Service - 98 Reasons Why We Got Hooked On K Drama Doom At Your Service - 798 Reasons Why We Got Hooked On K Drama Doom At Your Service - 398 Reasons Why We Got Hooked On K Drama Doom At Your Service - 698 Reasons Why We Got Hooked On K Drama Doom At Your Service - 768 Reasons Why We Got Hooked On K Drama Doom At Your Service - 328 Reasons Why We Got Hooked On K Drama Doom At Your Service - 76
